RENOVATION OF THE CLUB CONTINUES!
With help from the good folks at Home Depot, we began by replacing the floor in the back hallway and bathrooms. The bathrooms have new sinks and mirrors, the stalls and walls have been painted, and toilets are replaced. Next, the floor of the bar was taken out and re-done with new tile.
The kitchen received a much needed update and makeover, including stainless steel shelving, a new floor, fresh paint on the walls and a larger stove vent. An additional deep fryer and a broasted chicken fryer have been purchased.
New tile was laid around the outside of the bar, the bar foot rail was diamond plated, and new carpet was installed in the entryway and between the bar and the Zelinske Hall.
The floor in the Zelinske Hall has been levelled and replaced with laminate. The walls have been repainted and decorated appropriately. We hope to add an storage and serving space on the east wall.
We have installed a new Legion shield, an awning and a handicap automatic door opener on the outside of our building.
A new laminate floor has also been installed in the Bahma Room upstairs, and the walls have been painted.
The back stairwell by the kitchen had new laminate and stair treads installed and the walls were painted. We now have a stairlift installed in the back stairwell to accommodate handicapped patrons who wish to use the halls upstairs.
A mural on the east exterior wall of the Legion building has been completed.
